What A Difference A Day Makes

My Safety Plan

This is MY personal safety plan. I put it up here as an example of what it one looks like. Yours will most likely be different and that's ok!! Make it personal. Think about your warning signs and what you like to do for fun and to relax.

Warning Signs: Feeling anxious, wanting to NOT get out of bed, thinking of running away, yelling, avoiding friends, wanting to be by myself all the time, over eating and wanting to eat even when I'm not hungry, crying, overreacting, getting irritated, feeling butterflies in my stomach

Coping Skills: Take Charlie and a walk, blast the radio and organize, go lay down, put on a movie, deep breathing, journal, read a book, work on organizing scrapbook room, do something crafty, go for a hike, drive to the dam (I love that place), color, draw, paint

People to Call: Family, Friends, Therapist, Doctor on Call, Crisis line, 911

This is such an important thing!! Go and make yours now. Don't think about it just go start one. You can always add things to your lists.
